Who says a poem has to rhyme?
Why can't the words alone be fine?
If I don't follow a meter line,
Is that in and of itself a crime?

Who says a poem has to rhyme?
Why can't it be unique, sublime?
What if I do not focus on the time,
but just take the vision and make it mine?

Who says a poem has to rhyme?
Why can't discordant verses shine?
And if the sentences don't align,
Can't they still be beautiful by design?
