This World Is Not My Home
Sin can never reach
Up to heavens priceless worth
It is condemned forever
To live upon this earth
Sin can never touch
The heights where heavens bound
It can only rise so high
Then falls back to the ground
Never can it climb
From this world to which it's chained
It can never leave
So here it will remain
Sin binds us to this world
Upon which the devil freely roams
Creating pain and hurt and sorrow
In the realm he calls his own
It is and always will be
Satan and his demons din
Since it has no place to go
This world will always be ruled by sin
But this world here is not my home
By the chain of sin I am not bound
The chain was broken I am set free
When the blood of Christ fell to the ground
He gave his life that I might live
Both crucified and risen
And when I reach where sin cannot
I will be safe at home in heaven
