when we truly look within
what do you see that's there in
is there light at the end ?
or does it curve and bend
where does it seem to end

does it delve into your depths
does it go where the skeletons and demons hide
or are you scared what you may find ?

is there a demon inside ?
would you know or will it hide
till your at your lowest eb
and it reaches forth to grab
what little you have left

in order to preserve who we are
is there a little demon in you ?
lurking beyond the surface
delving so deep inside you
it urns to be free

and I think you'll find just a little glee
if at one time you may find
there's a demon inside

the demon within
be it saint or sin
is hidden deep within
what will you find ?
when you look deeper within
do you dare. look deeper and maybe stare
to look at who you are in there ?
