In spring throughout Missouri,
The buzzing of bees is found;
Where crab apple trees blossom,
These trees bees want to surround.

Profuse are pink-white flowers,
Most release fragrance in air;
When it's time for harvesting,
A heavy yield most of them bear.

Flowers on crab apple trees,
Survive almost every frost;
Compared to sweeter apples,
Not as many will be lost.

From the apples of these trees,
Aren't many delicacies.
Most release fragrance in air
