It's no surprise or mystery
I've checked you out, like a book...about history

Those eyes, they repeat themselves
Just like stocking books on the shelves

That look I've seen it before
Like a late night knock as if my window were a door

That smile though was nothing I've seen before
Like a drug, I had to have more

Feeding your brain to produce a smile
Half the time it was quite the trial but no error

I wanted nothing more than to see you happy
But even more to just have you look at me

I've held my hand out to you too many times before
That smile repeating itself like everything I've seen
No more...
Write no matter what state you're in let the emotion pour out
