Peace settles in my bones
The 5 am air kisses my skin
On a rooftop somewhere
Going nowhere
The town sleeps
And the only sign of life is the lights
Twinkling in the streets.
My arms disappear into the dark night sky
And wonder why I feel so alive
when all i want is to die.
Maybe one day I will take the fall
I hope the heavens catch me.
