Life gets hard when you can't see through the rain,
when you want to cry but you can't stand to feel the pain.
When you know you should let it go and start anew,
that's when the truth starts killing you.
When you can't stand to look at their face,
but you do it any way to keep the memories in place.
When you try to relate but they don't understand,
so they throw you out like you don't belong on the land.
When you try to control the thoughts in your head,
from manifesting, you shoot them down dead,
but they rise up again and try to take your power,
that's when you kneel down before the tower,
you pray to whatever you believe and shut your eyes,
you wait for the answers to your prayers and your cries.
Be light like a bird that flies,
and remember the angels can see through your lies.
In the end all we want is what we give,
a reason to smile and live.
