Let words be spoken, let the truth be told
That i am more than a masterpiece an artist can mould
I give life to a barren place as i flow through
So this i ask of you, am i not beautiful too?

I keep you fresh, and cool, and hydrated all day
I make you stop and stare in awe as i lay
I stop at nothing and flow eternally to provide for you
But still, do i make you wonder, am i not beautiful too?

I’ve been patient, i’ve been considerate, i’ve been kind
Despite such evil, i’ve stayed true to humankind
I’ve stood by you as faithful, as loyal, abd as true
Hoping you’ll see my worth, my dear, am i not beautiful too?

My body is burning, my blood turns black
Your love and affection is what i sorely, desperately lack
My fate now depends on the simple and intricate things you do
Answer me please, i beg of you, am i not beautiful too?
