Trawling through a glacial mist
Grasping at the straws of space and time
Trying to comprehend what's come and gone
Trying to comprehend the storm to come

My coat drags along the white powder snow
My past footsteps obscured with each march onward
My eyes locked to nothing in the distance
My lips ****** with my teeth sunk in deep

I drop to my knees
I bury my face
I scream out my lungs
I scream out your name

I know there's more to come
I know I must pick up what I've dropped
I know you're out there
I know you're with me

But I'm waiting for your love
To animate my veins.
