I got a life full of mistakes,
left untouched like a poisonous snake.
I have a soul full of fire,
I hear the angels sing out in a celestial choir.
I held my head and prayed,
and in that old field I laid.
I asked for a better place,
where my dreams are kept safe.
They said one day it will come,
it's in a pattern like the sun,
how it comes and goes,
like how it shines then it snows.
They told me to be patient,
everything happens within time,
so I hope that it's true because I'm still waiting in line.
