I sit here
reflecting,
wanting to be
somewhere else.

I can move,
but I can't.
I'm stuck
in this place.

I watch people
walk past
not knowing
who I am.

I hear people
talk,
not knowing
I'm here.

If they do
know that
I'm here,
they don't let on.

But that's
okay,
because I'm here
reflecting.

Not giving
a care,
to what goes on
outside.

Because I'm here,
reflecting,
but I don't know
why.

Do I think
that what I think
will help me
pass time?

Or is it simply
a way
to forget that
I'm here?

Do I know I'm here
or am I somewhere
else
dreaming.

Dreaming and
sleeping.
Not giving
a care.

Because I'm here
reflecting
Not giving
a care.
