It's hard when your always lying, drowning beneath the water

Always hiding what you feel

Not knowing what words that sing are truthful

Forgetting what is real

Sometimes I forget to laugh terrified someone might see

Yet society has the nerve to ask, "IS THIS WHO YOU WANT TO BE?"
When you can change yourself, but you can't change the past.
When everywhere you go you can no longer tell if you're generally happy or just faking it.
When you would rather adopt a smile, then tell someone what your really feeling.
They blame our generation for being the way it is, but have they ever thought who raised us?
