It was a cool gray day
No hint of sun
The sky had a heaviness to it
It had rained the night before
The cool air seeped into ones bones leaving a dull ache

People were sitting in the café having their breakfast
Many seats were empty
The atmosphere was muted

It made one long for the freshness of spring
