And sleep

creeps across

your face to

close your

weary eyes,

and I wonder

about you

3000 miles

away,

my destiny

it seems

are in

these words

to seek

your smile

and  one

day to hear

your laughter

at dawn.

and whether it

be this lifetime

or the next

under a

summer solstice

sky or night.

I will willingly

surrender all

of my stories

to you,

for your blessings

and wide-eyed

amusement.

and until then

I will search

the stars for

you that tonight

set my thoughts

to wonder,

if you might

reach out

to me someday,

like dandelions

reach for

the sun,

like water

falls from

the sky.

you are a

wonder to

me over and

over again.

with your Calypso

eyes and your

melancholy

way,

and certainly

in God's heart

I know one

day my

dreams will

call you

home.
