THE HOME PARADISE
A woman, dear to me, l knew for long.
She was so kind to all the old and young.
She loved Eve's kids, a Saint Teresa's role.
Her love was gold. She gave it to the world.

Her husband was alike, Saint Joseph's care.
He could not see a face dressed in the blues.
His gifts could submerge all with floods of glee
as they were lavish, and he knew man's soul.

Their house was full of friends from all the world.
They loved the two whose honey was so sweet
and filled the hive they called their cosy home,
Utopia on the earth, and Eden park.

They quit the earth to live on that high ground,
but left the house that wept the bees of gold.
The honey got so scarce, the scourge of time,
and calling guests would seek where they had gone.
