In the Sun
The wind blowing high
You stood next to me
As everyone passed us by
I thought we were on
The same level, hand in hand
But I was wrong
I couldn't  have been more wrong

I never knew
A few words
To hurt so much
When uttered past my lips
You could say I expected such
When you said you couldn't
When you wouldn't repeat
I nearly broke down and weeped
Right there, right by your stone feet
