A Shell
Waves fall against the sand
Caressing the course grains
Eating away
Softening
His hand falls against soft skin
Kissing it viciously
Watching it turn color
Burning it
His words enter her ears
Soothingly
Opening it
Suddenly the heart explodes
The skin rips open
The waves wash away the blood
He stands watching
Seeing the life drift across the sand
The heart He broken
Dead to Others
Another watches
Thinks
Wonders
How, why, so vibrant
So alive
Now just a shell on the sand
No different than the others
Lying dead, discarded, crushed
