I only wanted an hour.
That's all you ever had to give.
The other twenty three were yours,
To live the life you did.

I only wanted an hour,
but you always had other plans.
You never wanted to sit with me,
You never yearned to understand.

I only wanted an hour,
It's really not that much to ask.
Just sixty minutes of the real deal,
but you wouldn't drop the mask.

I only wanted an hour,
Even on that final day.
Until the end, you still refused,
and just let me fade way.
