Served with can’t
and won’t. Don’t feel
This. Just don’t. Put it in
a box. Seal it with heavy duty

industrial tape. Label it. Put it
upstairs in the dusty
attic, along with all the rest
of the boxes. You know

it’s there. I know it’s there.  But
let’s not talk
about it. Let’s not bring
it up. Let’s pretend it’s in

heaven with your father,
snuggled in his tobacco-
jaundice hands. Let’s not make
any plans.
