you're shocking
unreal for this reality I'm living
but you're taking your time
and I'm taking mine;

we are clockwork ticking away together, in the company of sour patch kids and m&m's fallen through the crevices of the couch

as you progress through my bones I become stronger
as you progress through my lungs I breathe harder
as you progress through my skin I become softer
