MAN  AND  ROBOT
What happened to the crowds that used to smile?
They used to dress their eyes in bright attire.
Something has happened and eclipsed their cheer,
the last attempt to regain their morale.

They were so proud of their own minds and strength,
but science came to rob them of that wealth.
The robot helped to make them look too small
and change their cheers into a fit of sulks.

Majestic cyber, you are great in might.
You make man seem too slow and short of sight
as man leans on the mind and you on maths;
he seems too slow to race in your fast paths.

Man can't defy you; he seems slow and frail,
which makes him tend to cower and to quail
as robots leave him far behind, and he
has nothing save that he should bend his knee.
