So Far...
So far from perfection
But still my predilection,
Two eyes two ears
One mouth one heart,
Head on her shoulders
Feet on the ground,
Smile makes me smile
Laugh makes me laugh,
Silence is a tune
But speaking is a song,
Whatever we may lack
We can make on our own,
She can say what she may
But I can hear what she thinks,
I know her fears
She knows my heart,
We are two boulders
Strong and sound,
Rolling mile after mile
From a whole I am half,
She left one June
I thought forever but I was wrong,
She came back
And though apart together we've grown,
So come what may
Even if our ship sinks,
I've got a paddle
She's got a ladle,
We'll make it through
For each other we'll do,
Anything and everything
As long as the sky has a sun,
And the birds can sing
The adventures have begun...
