Poems
Feb 2019
piggy bank robber
i drop a coin in the slot
at the crown of my head
it tumbles to my feet and
rattles like a safety pin on a key ring
i've been slipping in pennies
for years and still
they never seem to pile up.
metaphor for happy things, i think. i collect them but they never add up.
