I hope that we will have loved so much,
or at least loved just enough,
to make sure that

When war comes,
all our kisses will linger,
all our hugs unite us,
all the dancing and
all the music continue,
while freedom is on its way

I hope we will have visited many places,
learning the true meaning of home,
to make sure that

When war comes,
all our open doors will heal,
all the wounds will fade with
every shared meal, and
all our goodbyes turn into
’I wish you could stay’

I wish that we will have cared a lot
about those who cared for us,
making sure that

By the time war comes,

we will all know that we belong
