Jan 2019
she felt the sea breeze brush her face
but she didn’t see the waves crashing against the ship
or any dolphins playful peeking out their heads
all she saw was darkness
a darkness so profound
that she felt submerged in the highest level of existentialism
her heart beat against her ribcage noisily
her palms were sweating against the cool railing
but her mind was calm.
could she stay like this forever?
looking out at open sea?
