Do new beginnings last?
Do triumphant battles always start in the upper hand?
Are heroes born from on high?

Or is it the opposite?

Do flash beginnings end more swiftly?
Do battles overturn in a moment?
Are heroes made to stumble?

With these questions
I face a new day
A sun rising
Pink and orange bursting above the horizon

My heart is new
My mind clear
But I do not know
Nor can I see
The end

But this, my peace and rest
That I know
All I do
I do not in vain

And so whether I rise or fall
Live or die
None is without purpose.
