Walking up the ship trail i met
Slowly crawling up the same way
A slug, steady with its mind set
Perhaps the same pastures await.
Left the shell, perhaps on purpose
Perhaps never have gotten there
Getting down, might see the carcass
Said farewell, in a hurry to nowhere.
To this day i think of that lone snail
My fellow pilgrim, did you also fail?
