Jan 2013
The night was dim, and cool, and clear
When I first laid eyes on you
I sat down at the bar for beer
And then my dreams came true
A tall, pale, beauty the likes of which
I’d never seen before
At that moment there tore a stitch
The world the same no more

Time meant nothing to either our beings
Flesh faintly touching in the curves
The road that takes us far from things
Missing all attention it deserves
My eyes they never left your locks
Your smile stole all my speech
Lying underneath those rocks
I’ll sleep forever on that beach
