I remember when I felt it first
The pleasant quench of a longing thirst
Like everything was lightened
And lifted

I had never known such golden days
Oh how I melted when I met that gaze
She was amazing
And freeing

The way she held herself so high
Spoke to me, saying “don’t stand by”
So I went to her
And started
Living
