Jan 2019
in the
blessing
of trust

I throw
your words
into a
crooked
mountain
pool,

and then
relish in
the ripples
of you
that come
back to
cover me.

to embrace
your calico
eyes,

hold your
hand
and really
mean it.

find you
deep under
morning
covers,

and then
to just
watch you
sleep.

chocolate
swirl
surprise
ice cream
caked
upon your
lips.

your angel
hair falling
across your
face.

certainly this
must be how
a universe
begins.

here this
morning

with you.
