Taste of Doubt
The taste in my mouth
Had the morning-est taste
With the evening-est smell
I lost faith in myself
And had hate for my God
For creation itself
I lost faith in his Son
And hated this hell
The wreckage of earth
And people as well
I believed in the doubt
There was a heaven in clouds
Because anything else
Seemed impossible now
But how could I find a way out
I had to believe in myself
With the faith of Gods help
I had to read the Bible
And let him speak to my health
Because evil was out
In this world
I opened my heart
And Jesus I sought
He entered my thoughts
And cleaned up the rot
Before the devil had cut
My throat
