Autumn Forest
I followed the echoes of yesterday's dreams
forgotten in the sky
where time surrenders its steady breath
with a fluttering, muttering sigh.
God's handblown cathedral unveils His glory
shrouded in undying grace
and carves upon each crimson torch
a legacy of faith.
An unguarded mystery waits at my window
as the spice of adventure rings
a patchwork of swirling memories
woven in the wind.
A timid yearning shakes the earth
and churns her hidden prayers
for unsung joys that still our hearts
entrusted in God's care.
Hope indwells each smiling leaf
and cradles its fragile light.
The still, sweet murmurs of a day gone by
unfold in endless flight.
