Floating over
Soaring above
My own body
Personal horror
Objectified
Newly minted
As just another
Nook
Or cranny
In the vast ocean
Of my existence

Stars shine bright
Glisten off my water
The darkness between
Doesn't seem so black
Anymore
For the light of the stars
And the warmth of the moon
Keep me company
On those darkest of nights
And they tell me everything will be alright
They have me know it's just a phase
Just another tock
To balance out the tick
Before it
