it is

a wishful

thing

every time

I kiss you.

a falling star

come true.

a copper

penny

found heads

upon

the street.

to hold all

of you in

my arms,

is the sea

embracing

shore,

the roots

of a tree

Mother Earth.

a horizon line

the edge of

darkness.

but you

are my

light,

and warmth

and holiness

our first kiss

tonight.

and I

am but

the pilgrim

who seeks

you.

the lover

who can

love nothing else.

the man

who sees

no one

but you

in my

eyes.
