I was lonely and looking for the answers
in every stranger’s eyes as far as I could see.
I ended up compromising all that I believed.
Until the day I recognized, I wasn’t being me.
I wasn’t being me.

Now let me tell you I am who I am.
And who I am is good enough for me.
I am who I am without pretention.
Upon exam you’ll see that I’m totally free,
without reserve.
If I hit a nerve in you, I’m sorry.
But nothing’s going to stop me from being me.
I got to be me.
