Dec 2018
the fear of loneliness consumes me
wraps me up in a red blanket
kisses my cheek
and tells me to stay wherever there
is company
because sometimes staying awake
in a puddle of my tears
is better than falling asleep
and seeing him in my dreams
only to wake up
and him not be right beside me.
