Jan 2013
I found her again;
Not that she wanted to be,
Felt a stutter in my mind;
But my heart was anxious,
I held it in my hands;
Afraid what she would do with it,
But she didn't take it; Nor reject;
I saw walls and mirrors,
Every which way I approached;
I shattered mine to be vulnerable,
Yet hers grew taller;
Whatever life she leads,
I can't cross into;
So I'll continue on my way,
Leave a bookmark where it may;
I'll come back to her in fleeting instances,
Just a lighthouse at the beaches shore;
Of a time I met one kindred soul amongst the world,
And even though she was never mine; I let her go;
Just another wave in this life's ocean...
