The courtship poems 20
Dust
collects
on stale
hearts,
moon light
dissipates
warmth as
night falls
around you.
poet's pen
bleeds true
and deep
subscribes
only to
you,
and our
misgivings.
If I
am cast
to be
no one
in your
eyes,
I will
take the
passage
gratefully.
to wander
lost between
your heart
and soul
and never
ask for
love's true
offering.
and that
fate would
be true
and just,
a simple
life for a
simple man,
who once made
the mistake
to ever
dream of love
and you.
