Voices Behind the Walls
When sunset rises,
the voices behind the walls are still
Quiet.
That is what you hear.
One simple noise,
the voices awake
Listening to their laughs,
They sound more cheery.
Night Approaches,
The voices sob in despair.
The cries are deafening
You can feel their pain.
No ordinary voices, you see
History has to live with what was here.
Their souls are caged.
They sound lost and hurt.
Violence and abuse is what they feel
Help, is needed
But these voices cannot be set free,
They are the lonely ones,
they cannot be happy.
