Aerial Fantasies

I'm flying in the aurora

Taking hits from hail

rushing at my face and tearing aside my skin

Peeling away my humanity

and yet––––––––––––––––

the polar storms rage on

and I am slipping in

soul unwarped from all the thunder

but body wearing thin

––––––––––––––––and sky

The world lights up in colour

Splashes of green and red and dawn

as the silent world holds still for all its entities

And for eternity we are one
