And in
your calypso
smile
winter
sets outside

your window.

and
harmony
reigns.

and mother
sky washes
over you.

with the
care
of a
fondling
parent,

giving
their only
child
it's
first
bathe.

and there
is a
healing
in my
soul.

at the
thought
of you
throughout
my day.

no more

poems
without
words.

or trees
without
roots buried

deep in

this harvest

land.

instead my
eyes
rise

up to
witness,

the moss
emerald
green
Parading
on the
river
banks
rocks
of time.

and I
have
been
there
with you.

and it
is there
I will
pray your
name again.

under sky
over
moon

falling

hard
into
your

eyes,

you the

beginning

of life

me at

the ending.

it is

good the two

of us have

come to meet

in this

place.

it is

the proper

order of

things.

and that

is what

I see most

in your

smile.

the meaning
of the universe

and I.
