In the
corner
of your
fairy
tale
life.

your
beauty
holds
fast ,

like a
falling
star
forever
leaving
it's
firelight
into
the black.

I see
you.

walking
across
your
bedroom
floor,

with the
shards
of broken
hearts
cutting
through

the callous
bottoms of

your angel

feet.

and I
know
you have
been
the final
dream
to many.

and the
last
breath
of a
few.

and all
I can
do is
applaud
your
appetite
for love.

and deep
kisses.

that mean
everything.

in the
middle of
the night.

when celebrating
the fourth
of July,

every night

we lied

naked in your
bed.

but now
I sit here
encompassed
by you.

like a
mongoose held

captive

forever in

the cobra's

spell.

such are
the last
dreams

of nomad souls,

such are

the last dreams

of dead men

walking...
