I've been sitting back, I've been real laid back.
I've been trying to live my life, one day at a time.

At least that's what they say, is the best way to do it.
Not to look back at it all, not too have any regrets.

Everyday I see my son, smiling back at me.
It's helped a lot, finally helped me see.

As I sit here, I try to remember it all.
The midnight sneak outs, the writing on the wall.

All the whispers in the dark, all the broken hearts.
But the songs by the campfire, or the empty whiskey bottles.

Its what made me who I am today, you wouldn't love me.
If it wasn't for you all, who cared and helped me.

Iv got a sparrow, tattooed above my wrist.
It helped me remember, how much I love this.

Life I made, sometimes its not the best.
Sometimes it's ******, I will admit.

Iv spent all my time in this world, walking that thin red line.
I'm about ready to fall, but then again ain't we all.

I feel like I've done some things wrong.
I feel like I can't make them right.

But I know it wont be the same.
No matter that's the price you pay.

So I've been laying down, I've been listening to the love float around.
I've been breathing it in, I've been feeling it within.

And I've gotta say, it feels nice.
No more guilt over my shoulders, my head held high.

Now just waiting for that loved one, to come around to drop on by.
Someday I'm sure she will, maybe it won't be tonight.

I'm sure gods got a plan, I'm sure he understands.
How grateful I am, too have so many friends.

And I've just gotta say, I love you all.
You have been there for me, to pick me up when I fall.

And if it wasn't for you, maybe I wouldn't be here.
Maybe I would be off somewhere, shooting a gun in fear.

It's been too long, since I felt like I owed someone.
But I feel like, I owe you all my life.

Kinda all I gotta say, I hope I made a point.
A place in your heart, just like you made a place for mine.
