Turn to Gold
So just as you think it can't get any better.
And that sunset is as pretty as it gets.
I come on in and sweep you off of your feet...again
And when my kiss seems so sweet and never bitter.
My heart beats in rhythm of every smile.
Like your lips are the heavens and those eyes are a treasure.
We can only love each other till we turn to gold.

I won't be your superman
"I got your cape and your suit, now won't you come over."
She says on the phone, sounding like shes smiling.
"I can't and you know, this hurts me more then you!"

So no, I won't, I can't come over.
Cause honey, my love, baby all this is over.
See the sun, it shines, cause we are not together.
And yes, I know, this ***** but its for the better.

So baby I just want you to know.
That this is only for the best.
I won't be your superman.
Cause baby I have a weakness.

"I know and it hurts, but baby what we had was special."
I didn't know what to say, so I just stood still.
"She's your kryptonite, and baby, your my superman..."

I can take some of my most personal lifes moments and turn them into songs, which I feel is something actually special of mine. This song, although sad. Is about accepting something you can't be, and no matter how much it hurts, how much it changes your life. You sometimes just gotta know, its only for the best.

Tell me.
About the million times I failed you.

Tell me.
How I should of stopped and turned around.

And tell me!
How I never said sorry like the thousand times before.

Just consider me a friend.
I won't try and pretend.
Just consider me a lie.
I am untill thee end.

And I ain't the one for you.
I ain't the one to blame you and wanna say you tried.
Just turn your back on me.
When I needed you the most.
Just push me away.
Everytime I get to close.

Just consider me a friend.
I won't try and pretend.
Don't consider me your love.
If thats what I once was.

And I ain't the one for you.
I ain't the one to blame you and wanna say you tried.
Just turn your back on me.
When I needed you the most.
Just push me away.
Everytime I get to close.

Where Did You Go
Oh.
There is a fire inside I decided to hide in case it lit into flames.
And despite my bones the solid cold I still have the nerve to say.

Where did you go?
Oh.
Where did you go?

Tell me no matter how many times you said I need to leave.
You still couldn't stand up cause it was so hard to breath?

Oh.
Where did you go?

So tell me how was your crash?
Did you crash and burn did all of your plans explode in your face?
Tell me where did you go?
When you lit ablaze did you try and escape?
Did you crash and burn did you loose all your faith?
Where did you go?
Tell me where did you go?

When I said I apologize a million times did you try and say no?
And with every breath did you lay awake staring at the ceiling in our home?

Oh.
Where did you go?
Tell me where did you go?

All Her Flaws
I saw a beautiful angel getting drunk on halo's.

A ***** angel getting ****** to lay low.

Cutting her own wings while blowing smoke.

One look at me and I'm at a loss of words.

She had a, smart mind, glazed eyes. Used them for more ways to lie.
With her sharp tongue to kiss me more ways then one.
On the asphalt I can't help but smile at all her flaws.

She had a thing for letting others down.

Looked like a porcelain doll with a golden crown.

Left all the memories in the dining room.

Pulling the curtains down to match her costume.

She had a, smart mind, glazed eyes. Used them for more ways to lie.
With her sharp tongue to kiss me more ways then one.
On the asphalt I can't help but smile at all her flaws.
A soft touch, a red blush, to masquerade her pink lipstick.
She had a taste that that I would forever miss.

A Angel Beside Us
Well she's a loving girl, caring for the world.
She has a good soul, and always loved to laugh.
She had a big heart, never hurt anybody.
She loved racing, but only if she's last.
She had wings I'm sure, could fly if she wanted.
She had wings I'm sure, a angel beside us.

Well she's a kind girl, always only wanted love.
A good man, one to bring home to ma and pa
She's a crazy girl, when she had whiskey.
She's a modest one, but knew how to be ****!

She's a beautiful girl, with bright green eyes.
She had a soul that could light up the room.
And a soul that shined to bright...

Friends
I've been sitting back, I've been real laid back.
I've been trying to live my life, one day at a time.

At least that's what they say, is the best way to do it.
Not to look back at it all, not too have any regrets.

Everyday I see my son, smiling back at me.
It's helped a lot, finally helped me see.

As I sit here, I try to remember it all.
The midnight sneak outs, the writing on the wall.

All the whispers in the dark, all the broken hearts.
But the songs by the campfire, or the empty whiskey bottles.

Its what made me who I am today, you wouldn't love me.
If it wasn't for you all, who cared and helped me.

Iv got a sparrow, tattooed above my wrist.
It helped me remember, how much I love this.

Life I made, sometimes its not the best.
Sometimes it's ******, I will admit.

Iv spent all my time in this world, walking that thin red line.
I'm about ready to fall, but then again ain't we all.

I feel like I've done some things wrong.
I feel like I can't make them right.

But I know it wont be the same.
No matter that's the price you pay.

So I've been laying down, I've been listening to the love float around.
I've been breathing it in, I've been feeling it within.

And I've gotta say, it feels nice.
No more guilt over my shoulders, my head held high.

Now just waiting for that loved one, to come around to drop on by.
Someday I'm sure she will, maybe it won't be tonight.

I'm sure gods got a plan, I'm sure he understands.
How grateful I am, too have so many friends.

And I've just gotta say, I love you all.
You have been there for me, to pick me up when I fall.

And if it wasn't for you, maybe I wouldn't be here.
Maybe I would be off somewhere, shooting a gun in fear.

It's been too long, since I felt like I owed someone.
But I feel like, I owe you all my life.

Kinda all I gotta say, I hope I made a point.
A place in your heart, just like you made a place for mine.

Gypsy Soul
The rain crashes down on the concrete and my feet.
These clouds are grey and these streets are empty.
Only the sound of my steps and my heavy breathing.
There is pigeons under this bridge and dirt on my lips.
The rain in my toes through the holes on my soles.
I should feel like I am drowning.
But I've got nothing but love and truth to be told.
Only change in my pockets and empty roads.
Nothing but cans and a pair of boots.
And I am getting so lonely.

Iv got a gypsy soul and a story to tell.
But nobody wants to listen.
I don't need change, I don't need your clothes.
I just want my story to be told.
I got a Gypsy soul and a story to tell.
Full of strength and wisdom.
I don't need your food, I don't want your sympathy.
Just sit down and listen to me.

The rain on my shoulders and the Thunder hanging over.
A picture in my pocket of my once special lover.
All crumbled and torn like the paths I have chosen.
But I would follow them again.
The fading fog in the moon and the bright street lights.
My hands in thee air to cover my swollen eyes.
If I had a choice to turn back the hands of time.
I wouldn't change the decisions I made in this life.
Now will you listen to me.*

Shooting Star
Well I am just going to sit back.
I am going to watch these planets collide.
Watch them shatter to glass.
Or come crashing down.
I will follow these star so far.
You'll never hear from me again.
Maybe in a century or so.
But not intell then.

I am staring through this glass.
And suddenly it all feels so real.
And am I just a figment in my head?
Or is this univers really so little.
And well on this shooting star, looking back at the scene.
The earth and the clouds and you staring back at me.

And I watch these planets crash.
Watch them crumble and fall.
I'll watch these stars burn and fade.
And let those suns explode.
And i'll be gone forever cause forever feels like home.
But everytime you watch for that shooting star.
Just remember you're not alone.

Another Story
She sat down at the bar right next to me.
She was looking kind, she was looking kinda *****.
She said she saw me a crossed the bar.
Really wanted to buy me a drink.
Red lip stick, glitter in her hair.
A red summer dress, a piercing stare.
Grey with a blue shade.
Leather boots as high as her knees.
She had me at "Can I buy you a drink?"

And we hit it off from there.
It was sweet, it was cool, it was something else.
It was love, it was hate, confusing as all hell.
I pushed her around, she forces me down.
And we hit it off from there.

She sat down next to me in the light.
Another cobwebbed Saturday night.
Said she saw me a crossed the room.
Said I didn't feel right.
And its the same old story.
She says I was looking too lonely.
And she was cute, she was ****, oh she was kinda *****.
Black laced eye liner and black lipstick.

And we hit it off from there.
It was sweet, it was cool, it was something else.
It was love, it was hate, confusing as all hell.
I pushed her around, she forces me down.
And we hit it off from there.

Its the same old story, another night another sorry.
Another role play, another morning.
And she isn't ever you.

And so we hit it off from there.
It was sweet, it was cool, it was something else.
It was love, it was hate, confusing as all hell.
I pushed her around, she forces me down.
And we hit it off from there.
