if as the sun sets
in the dead of night
it should stay on the other side
forever dark for a moment
and then forever light

would I be proud
of what I made
the life not lived
such beauty not seen
chasing something none want

your body burns with anger
and I don't disagree
it's too short
it's just too short
I am afraid
