MORE THAN HIDE AND SEEK
It was a lovely night, beside a summer house.
The parents were so quiet; the children cheered and danced.
The night set out to dress the site with a hue of shade.
Just then the kids would opt their skills to be displayed.

The boys would run and jump with a strong bent for contests.
The girls spruced up their hair; they would accuse and scream.
Their parents were involved in their drinks and their mirth;
the boys and girls would cheer so glad about their youth.

They all were pleased to play, but my mind was with her.
I followed all her steps, trying no doubt to stir.
I was so glad when she suggested " Hide and Seek".
It gave a chance to me to approach her and speak.

She hid behind a fence; she found me at her side.
I looked deep in her eyes and caught her childish hand.
She was so pleased like me and shared me a sweet smile
that printed in our hearts an image still agile.
