You hold me without touch.
A single glance
can paralyze me.
I try to pull away,
to gather up what is left
of my dignity,
my sanity,
my pride
and walk away.
But a whisper from your soul
reaches out and gently,
ever so gently,
pulls me back.
I never feel it
until it is too late,
and I am trapped within you
once more.
You hold me without touch.
