Today I walked on the seashore
hoping the sand & sea
would take life's life's pains away from me
The sand is so deep, so arm & free
surely it can take all my fears from me
the sea is so endless-knows none of man's discipline
surely it could dry the tears in my eyes
I sat and pondered the cares of the day
and knew these things could not take my burdens away
but God in his love spoke especially to me
through the grains of sand and the waves of the sea
These beauties I beheld were created by his hands
and in his own image, He created man
his power sets boundaries for each on the shore
Yet he cares enough to knock at me heart's door
But God's power and might were not the message for me...
It was his love he wanted me to see
The grains of sand are
immeasurable the waves do not cease
his love is unlimited unmeasured- I can rest in his peace
