Ignoring the human race I sat next to a camp fire These things kept me alive In case Somehow company came Along came company A deer, a leopard, a lion And made life bear-able in A cold forest, under the pine tree Where cooking a meal for the night Was the necessity I expound, With company It seemed like Just staying awake For others Was the point Of this ebullient dream Incase prey forgets predator And prey forgets the ways of nature And in case prey forgets nature I'd be there to save deer From a metaphorical leopard In case a lion intrudes in the forest Whilst crossing a stream or a lake I could be there to Make it feel welcome Because lions Leopards Don't belong together But bemusing it is, That deer and man can share fire Together Forever Amidst owls Because owls hover and deer run Man and predator learned to hunt Now people just hover in planes and luxury Unknowing of wild life Ignorant of the hidden scenery
