Ode to the past
Glowing angel
amongst
the dark
the evil
mind & heart
in the utmost
dishevel
I floated along
those pitch black streets
Feelings of
never-ending sorrow
& defeat
A place I no longer
call home
Everyone dimmed
nobody shone
For I rose above
the crumbling ashes
Like a phoenix
who lit the matches
To find there is more
to be sought after
Then chasing the
unattainable high
Adrenaline hits so hard
it make you sigh
darkest of paths
morals awry
I look for serenity
in other ways
now
Found another home
anyhow
Couldn’t linger on
I had to go
I think of this place often
I hope you know
